ICMA Annual Excellence Award Nominations

ICMA’s Local Government Excellence Awards submissions are open through March 13, 2026. These awards recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of ICMA members and highlight extraordinary accomplishments and dedicated service to the profession. 

There are a series of awards in this program. Individual awards recognize individual achievement, including advocacy for the profession; early career leadership; career excellence; career development; and assistant excellence in leadership. Another set of awards recognizes community achievements in areas including strategic leadership and governance; partnerships; equity and inclusion; sustainability; and health and safety.
